Paul is the Charity’s longest serving staff members having been involved with the Charity since its inception. Paul previously worked within the chemical industry before moving into the public sector. He has always been very much involved in voluntary activities in his local community.

Paul has held a number of positions within the company and has a wealth of experience covering community development, small grants programmes, facilities regeneration and implementing projects to achieve the key outcomes of the New Deal for Communities funding.

Paul has been promoted to various roles within the organisation and in 2021 was promoted to the role as Chief Executive, Paul is now responsible for providing a strategic vision and leadership to the operation and development of Actes within the direction set by the Board of Trustees along with ensuring that all business activities are delivered to a high standard meeting the needs and expectations of our clients and partners.

As part of this role, Paul has concentrated on promoting strong partnerships, creating innovative bids, and contracting opportunities to ensure that Actes remains a viable, growing, and successful business.

In addition, Paul is Chair of the Headstart Board, Chair of Middlesbrough Financial Inclusion Group and a member of Middlesbrough’s Children’s Trust.

In his spare time Paul is involved in a local junior football club (which he has been involved in over 20 years), Paul is also a school governor at Archibald Primary School, but his favourite job is being a grandad.
