Staff and Young People celebrate double awards success

The staff at Middlesbrough based charitable trust, Actes, are celebrating their involvement in two Big Lottery Fund youth projects which received accolades at the South Tees VCS Awards.

Talent Match Middlesbrough, a project led by the Prince’s Trust with a number of delivery partners, including The Junction, Middlesbrough Voluntary Development Agency, and Actes, received the ‘Working Together Award’ and ‘Effective Campaign Award’ recognising the work of the Talent Match Middlesbrough Partnership and the effective contribution made by the Talent Match Young People’s  Panel -which consists of young people aged between 18 and 24.Read the rest

New concept clothing bank launches giving Middlesbrough people a fresh start

A brand new clothing bank supplying good quality free clothing has been officially opened in Middlesbrough by Mayor David Budd and members of the Talent Match Middlesbrough Youth Panel.

Actes, a Middlesbrough based charity, has secured funding from the Talent Match Middlesbrough’s Innovation Fund and Middlesbrough’s Financial Inclusion Group to open Trending, a new concept clothing bank aimed at reducing the stigma attached to receiving clothing donations.… Read the rest

Unique partnership offers Young People a New Direction

Thousands of unemployed young people across the Tees Valley are set to be helped into learning and work thanks to a brand new £7million project.

 Actes have joined forces in a unique partnership with New College Durham, Thirteen Group, Coast & Country Housing and North Star Housing to successfully secure over £7 million from the European Social Fund and the Department of Work and Pensions to enable them to deliver the new Youth Employment Initiative (YEI).… Read the rest
