Sandra was appointed to the role of Chief Executive in April 2010 and has successfully steered the organisation through a period of significant change from being a commissioner of services to an expert deliverer of services.

Sandra joined the Charity in 2008 as the Finance Director / Deputy Chief Executive. Her main role at that time was to work with the Chief Executive, Board of Trustees, and both local and central government to ensure that the £52m NDC programme was brought to a successful conclusion.

Sandra is responsible for the day to day management of the organisation, including the strategic direction, governance, business planning and sustainability. She works closely with the Board and the senior management team to ensure the continued growth and stability of the organisation.

Sandra’s previous experience includes 17 years in the NHS in various finance roles and then as a consultant in the public and private sectors.

Away from work Sandra is involved with an NHS charity supporting finance staff, enjoys being out and about and going to watch her local basketball team.
